Give Aways

Some bloggers give stuff away. This BLOG is giving away some goodies because she had her 100th post! Got any good ideas for give aways? This one The Pioneer Woman Cooks gives away Kitchen Aid mixers. WOW!! So keep all your blogging buddies aware of the good give aways.

Wednesday already??

Where are the weeks going? I cannot believe Labor Day is Monday. School starts this week too and it just seems way to early for the kidos to be back in school. I know...probably not too early for the parents!! TJ has a teacher that his Dad had in school. That makes me laugh :)
Anyhow, we had a GREAT time in Gardiner last weekend. River rafting was fun but oh so cold. We will have to start going earlier in the summer. If the wind wasn't blowing we would have been just fine. The Roosevelt cookout was a blast. TJ, Shane & I rode horses there. A 1 1/2 horse ride was a bit long but we saw some beautiful country. My cousins rode Shane & my horses the 1/2 back and we rode the wagons with everyone else. The steak & apple crisp were my favorites from our meal. They put on some great grub. The singer was great too. Sounded like how John Wayne probably would have sang. Loved him! Then we fished from Gardiner to Livingston on our way home and caught a few. So it was a great weekend. This weekend we are heading to the Tongue River to catch some crappies. I always say I WILL catch a big walleye but I usually catch one or two little ones. So we'll see. The weather will be a bit cooler, which will be a nice change.
Hope you enjoy your week & weekend.

Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful it is Thursday because it is really my Friday since I am off tomorrow. We are heading to Gardiner to river raft. I love doing this & can't believe this will be my first and last trip of the summer. BUMMER! Anyway, on Saturday we are then going into Yellowstone Park to go to a cookout. TJ & I are riding horses & the rest of my family are going on wagons. It should be a blast! I am looking forward to the long weekend. Working 8am-10pm makes for such a long day but I have to do what I have to do to make ends meet. I am thankful I was able to get a 2nd job to fit my schedule. Well hopefully my next post will have some photos from the weekend. Hope you are enjoying these last few weekends of summer. For those of you who haven't been to Montana, we have a couple of months of spring & summer & then fall comes for a couple more months and then winter lasts about 6 months. So we enjoy every minute of sunshine we can get!

Hey there blog buddies

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I got an email from a friend who was worried about me so I am going to do better at blogging. I will try & blog once a week. Work has been crazy busy. I start my second job tomorrow night. I have been glued to the Olympics. I just love to see how ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things. It is very inspiring. Not that I would ever be an Olympian but it makes me proud to live in the USA. I know a lot about China, almost adopting from there and to see the Olympics there and how they treat their people, especially children breaks my heart. So I am thankful I live in such a great country and the opportunities here are incredible.

Well last night I had to out-fish Shane again. I just don't know how not to do it! I caught 2 & he had several bites but didn't land any. But we had fun & that is the main thing. The temps have been in the 70's...PERFECT fishing weather!! I hope we can go again this weekend.

Last weekend I went to the Laurel Centennial Parade. They were celebrating 100 years. It wasn't too exciting. I think even Gardiner's rodeo parade was longer. I know...that is unheard of. This was the highlight of the parade, the Budweiser Clydesdale team of horses. They were awesome!! They even had the dog! Then we toured a Montana RailLink passenger train. That was really neat too.

Carl...Carl...he's our man

Did you watch the exciting race on Sunday? Sometimes I take a little nap during the race but not this time. It was too exciting. Carl Edwards about ran out of gas but he pulled off a win! He is now third in the standings. This is 2 spots up from last week!

I also got hired as a part time employee at JC Penney's. I will probably start next week.

That is it for now in my not-so-exciting life.
