Shane & I didn't know what we were getting ourselves into at Deadman's Basin, which is outside of Ryegate. We had never been there before. There was a 30% chance of rain. We headed through the Big Coulee between Rapelje & Ryegate on the long gravel road. What a road! So we made it to the Basin. There isn't a whole lot there. Not many trees. But we found a great spot to pitch our tent. Then we went fishing. I caught 4 Kokanee salmon. The weather was perfect with some breeze. We got some sun, probably too much but we had fun. There weren't many boats so we had a great time fishing from the shore, which a few campers camped right on the beach. It was great. Then we got home to find out Carl Edwards too 2nd in the Dover race!

sounds like fun, you got some nice pictures out of the deal! I've never been there either, I hear a lot people talk about it, I would have thought there would be trees:)
