No Traveling Pants
The theater's web site posted incorrect times and they only had 2 afternoon showings of the movie. So we went to see The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler. It was funny! But wasn't the chick movie we were hoping for. Guess I will have to go see a matinee.
Well today is Lance's Birthday. Hope he has a great one!
Nothing else new to report on my blog. I have been following another's blog:
http://reidbaby.blogspot.com/
They are in China getting Charissa, their daughter. What a blessing they have been to me. And I don't even know them! I feel like I do. They live in KY so maybe someday I'll get to meet their family.
That is all for now. Hope you have a great weekend.

Traveling Pants?
Yes, I just have to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. 2 friends and I are going Thurs. evening followed by hopefully some sinful dessert at a restaurant! I have had a busy week with family readiness group meeting, Bible study (which we just are getting together this summer to let the kidos play and the adults fellowship), saying goodbye to friends and neighbors who are moving (or PCSing), excited about new neighbors moving in, getting ready for vacation Bible school, which starts next week and just enjoying the cool evenings in KY. Lance's birthday is Friday and he called to say he received his present. I am glad it got there in time. You never know about the mail system. I also have been getting adoption paperwork filled out, copied and hopefully getting sent off this week. Miriam's Promise in Nashville will do a home study update as well as the post-adoption paperwork when we get Gracie home. We are looking at going to China in Jan. 2006, at the latest. A friend here just brought Isabelle home from Guadamala. What a sweet child! Makes me more excited by seeing her and the excitement of her parents getting the call to go. Well no other new news to report. I'll let you know how the traveling pants faired in my eyes.

Mondays...not very exciting
Well today is June 13. Almost mid June. Wow! Where has time gone? Keeping busy makes time go by so fast. I have a busy week. 2 luncheons, 1 FRG meeting, dinner & movie with a friend. I also have to get ready to teach 3rd & 4th grade vacation Bible school next week. I also have to decorate my room. Fun times! I am also planning a trip to Montana this summer/fall. I am going for Labor Day for sure to get some fishing and camping in. I will probably also go for Thanksgiving and a friend's wedding, which is that same week. So I am looking forward to that. Not much else to report here. It rained all weekend and with the sun out today, it is MUGGY! Yuck! So Simba and I will be inside today. Maybe it will cool off tonight. I take her to the field across the street and let her run. She loves that! I have to be back in time to watch Operation Homecoming on TLC. I love that show! Hope you have a good week.

IM
I love instant messaging (IM). That is pretty much been my weekend. I love chatting with far away friends. I am starting to chat with new friends here. I worked yesterday (Friday) and haven't done much since. Today I did finally "cook" a meal. I made an excellent pork tenderloin. Very yummy! Cooked in a crock pot all day so I call that cooking. Since it is just me, I don't cook very often. I just don't like the fuss for little old me. I love to cook and do miss cooking but I have a hard time cooking for 1. I love Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals and have taken some of her recipes. Her recipes don't make very much and I can scale it down. But why cook if a sandwich will fill me up? I do love to try new recipes and will love to try them on my hubby. Guess I should test them first. He says I have only cooked one bad meal. Sept. we will be married 11 years so that is a good record, yes? Sorry, no new news on the adoption. I have decided to decorate her room in ladybugs. So that has been a fun adventure so far. Bedding is so expensive so I am still on the lookout. I love the green bedding with red ladybugs on it. So cute! The agency told us to plan on going to China around Jan. They tell us the worst case scenerio so we aren't disappointed so they shoot high. I hope it is sooner. It would be wonderful to spend Christmas with her. But if not, there is always next year!
